Terms of service
The deal, plainly.
These terms cover all software made by LovelyRover.com LLC. They explain what you can do with our software, what we promise, and what we don't. We've kept them as short and human as a contract can reasonably be.
Last updated: June 17, 2026
The short version
- Your license
- Buy once, use it. We grant you a personal license to use our software on your devices. You don't own the code — you own your copy and your right to use it.
- Ownership
- The software stays ours. The apps, code, names, and artwork are LovelyRover's. Your files, saves, and content stay yours.
- Your data
- Covered separately. How we handle data lives in our Privacy Policy, which includes an Inclusion-specific section.
- Purchases
- Handled by the store. Apple iOS and Mac App Store purchases and refunds go through Apple under Apple's terms.
- Virtual items
- No cash value. In games, shards, tokens, and unlocks are a license to use in-game — they aren't money and can't be cashed out.
- No miracles
- Software is provided “as is.” We build it carefully, but we can't promise it's perfect or never goes down.
The longer version
1. Who these terms are between
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and LovelyRover.com LLC (“LovelyRover,” “we,” “us”), a company based in Maine, United States. They apply to all of our software — desktop apps, mobile apps, and games — together with any updates and related services. By downloading, installing, or using our software, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the software.
2. Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use our software on devices you own or control, for your own use, in line with these Terms and any applicable app-store rules. This license covers your use of the software, not ownership of it.
You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our software, except to the limited extent the law expressly allows despite this restriction. You may not remove our names, logos, or notices, or use our software to build a competing product.
3. What we own, and what you own
The software — including its code, design, names, logos, and artwork — is owned by LovelyRover and protected by intellectual-property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers that ownership to you.
Anything you create or import with our software — your files, requests, saves, and progress — stays yours. We don't claim ownership of it. Where applicable, you grant us only the limited permission needed to store and sync that content so the software works (see the Privacy Policy for details).
4. Acceptable use
Use our software lawfully and reasonably. Don't use it to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, interfere with or attack our systems or other people's, cheat or exploit our games in ways that harm other players, or circumvent technical limits or security. We may suspend or end access that violates these Terms.
5. Purchases and refunds
Most of our software is sold through Apple's App Store and Mac App Store. Those purchases — including paid apps, upgrades, and in-app purchases — are processed by Apple and governed by Apple's terms. Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. We don't receive or store your payment-card details.
Prices and offerings can change over time. If we ever sell software directly rather than through a store, we'll state the purchase and refund terms at the point of sale.
6. Game-specific terms
The following applies only to our games (for example, Inclusion) and to features they include.
Accounts. A game may create an anonymous account so your progress can persist and sync, and may let you optionally link an email to recover it. You're responsible for activity under your account. How account data is handled is described in the Inclusion section of our Privacy Policy.
Virtual items and currency. Games may include virtual currency and items — for example shards, tokens, powerups, and unlocks. These are licensed to you for use within the game only. They have no monetary value, are not your property, and cannot be sold, transferred, redeemed for cash, or exchanged outside the game. We may add, change, remove, or expire virtual items, and we may adjust game balance, content, and pricing as the game evolves.
Consumable purchases. Purchased virtual currency is generally consumable and non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law or by Apple's refund process. If your account is deleted or your access is terminated, any remaining virtual items are forfeited.
7. Updates and availability
We may release updates that change, add, or remove features, and we may need to take software or services offline for maintenance. We aim to support our software for the long haul, but we can't guarantee that any feature, server, or title will remain available indefinitely.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Our software is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your specific needs.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LovelyRover will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) our software. Our total liability for any claim relating to the software will not exceed the amount you paid us for the software in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty U.S. dollars, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
10. Termination
You can stop using our software at any time and delete it from your devices. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use the software ends; sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) continue to apply.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Maine will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
12. Apple App Store
For software obtained through Apple's stores, these Terms are between you and LovelyRover only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the software or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Your use must also comply with Apple's applicable terms, including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which apply alongside these Terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as our software changes. When we do, we'll revise the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the software after an update takes effect, that means you accept the revised Terms.
